2011-2012 Annual Fund
It gives us great pleasure to introduce The Woodstock Academy Foundation, and to enlist your support for the 2011-2012 Annual Fund drive to benefit the Academy.
The Foundation’s first Annual Fund campaign is dedicated to making the Academy Building - a central feature of our historic campus, and one of New England’s oldest operating academic buildings – fully accessible to all members of our school community. With the installation of an elevator, this project will make much-needed classroom, meeting and storage space consistently accessible, streamlining complex scheduling for faculty and students, and keeping this historic treasure vital to future generations.
The nature of this project fits beautifully with the new principles and priorities for fundraising and investment recently approved by the Woodstock Academy Trustees with input from the entire community, which are:
- Increasing overall classroom accessibility, usable teaching and storage space, energy efficiency and the welcoming nature of the campus;
- Contributing to an excellent education that engages all students in a range of cultural, career and life experiences as contributors to both their local and global communities;
- Encouraging excellence in teaching by recognizing innovation and engagement with students and providing opportunities for professional growth.
Your support is critical to our success. Contributions will be doubled through a matching grant from The Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism. The assistance of these private partners not only doubles your investment, but allows us to move quickly ahead to provide timely, visible benefits to students, faculty and members of the community.
Please help us help the Academy by making a gift to the Foundation’s inaugural Annual Fund today.
The 2011-12 Annual Fund closes at the end of the fiscal year June 30, 2012.
