In 1801, our Founders established a Corporate Purpose; that “the Academy shall be maintained to engage in educational enterprises for the benefit of the inhabitants of the local town and its vicinity.” Today, the Academy has not only continued this purpose, but extended this principle to prepare students to excel in our more connected, integrated, and international world. Woodstock Academy is an independent secondary school providing a comprehensive educational program for students in grades 9-12 from the local towns of Woodstock, Eastford, Brooklyn, Pomfret, Canterbury, and Union as well as private tuition students from southern New England and international students from around the globe. Our college-like campus, with multiple buildings and beautiful green areas, is situated on the picturesque and historic Woodstock Hill in the quiet northeastern corner of Connecticut.
